Hey there! I’m Mark Reynolds — a registered Australian civil marriage celebrant based in Yarrabilba, and proudly serving loved-up couples across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Logan, and the Scenic Rim.
In my younger years, the thought of speaking in front of people was enough to make me run for the hills, which is probably why I started my career in IT. But thanks to my love of music (and a few karaoke sessions that may or may not have involved questionable song choices), I found myself not just singing, but hosting. That confidence snowballed into community theatre, where I performed in musicals and plays — and somewhere along the way, I realised I had a knack for connecting with people and making them feel at ease.
Now, I know what you’re thinking… who becomes a celebrant after working in IT and running karaoke nights? Well, this guy! 😄
After sitting through one too many long and, let’s be honest, boring wedding ceremonies, I thought: There has to be a better way. So, I did the training, passed the exam, and became a marriage celebrant in 2017 and I’ve never looked back.
I’ve been lucky enough to officiate over 260 weddings, and whether it’s a simple elopement or a big show-stopping ceremony, my goal is always the same: to help couples have a wedding ceremony that’s fun, heartfelt, personal — and never dull.
Oh, and if you’re into themed weddings? I’m your guy. From Star Wars to Elvis, I’ve had some epic requests — and I’m always up for more!
I also love finding ways to add value to my packages — most recently by adding a dance lighting to my MC toolkit, which helps create atmosphere for those rocking their Spotify playlist at the reception.
